The United States of America is a miracle like no other on Earth.  How and why the exact turn of events occurred that brought together courageous leaders at the right time and place to create a nation like no other is a mystery of the ages.  What we know is that these brilliant individuals created a masterpiece like no other in the realm of governance.  They combined wisdom and values and faith and dreams and changed the course of human history.  These incredible heroes truly were American Statesmen in every sense of the word.

Today, we need statesmen and women more than ever before—not career politicians.  If our nation is to grow and prosper and continue to offer all citizens the American Dream we must have a new breed of leaders.  We need reluctant leaders who care more about our nation than their political party, ego, personal agendas, or wealth.  We need leaders who are not power hungry, closed-minded, inflexible, or filled with hate.  We need everyday thinkers who are willing to serve their nation, not their own self-serving desires.  Our hope lies with those who have the courage to care, the wisdom of our forefathers, the strength to make sometimes unpopular decisions, and the intestinal fortitude to see it through.  They must be inspired, innovative, brilliant thinkers capable of holding a steady course in spite of the inevitable naysayers, character assassins, special interest groups, and media who have forgotten the value of truth.

“We the people,” deserve better leadership.  The two political parties are more interested in their own future than the future of America.  They have embraced the false ideology of socialism and big government.  Our leaders live like kings and queens while we pick up the tab.  They ignore injustices and pander to special interest groups at the expense of our citizens.  As a result, we Americans have lost faith in our leaders.

We can moan and groan and complain, but nothing will happen until “we the people” do it.  The American Statesmen Party is a people-driven party (not to be confused with communism) made up of like-minded American citizens who want to rekindle the essence of the original American Statesmen’s wisdom, values, faith, and dreams.  Rather than suffer at the hands of politicians and power brokers who put party first, petty agendas second, personal wealth third, the nation forth, and every day hard-working American citizens last, we seek to bring common sense, integrity, compassion, and dignity back to our government.
