Our nation was founded on the principles of individual freedom, free enterprise, justice, and equal opportunity. Reward for
effort. Capitalism is the engine that took us from nothing to the most powerful nation in the world. It was the work,
sweat, sacrifice, and sometimes failure of individuals who made it possible. The state did not do it! In fact, the state
would have nothing to offer without capitalists creating wealth in the first place.
Is Henry Ford a villain for creating a company
that has employed millions and fed countless families throughout the years with salaries paid? He was wealthy as a result of
his personal risk and efforts. Is he greedy? Before you make that evaluation you better investigate the Ford Foundation
which since 1936 has distributed over $15 billion “delivering on a promise to improve lives and create opportunity.” Add to
that amount, individual charitable contributions by the Ford family. This single greedy capitalist has done more for
