The media, for the most part, have rendered themselves irrelevant.  Our founding fathers trusted the media to be the watchdogs of democracy.  Their critical role is to report on the actions of government, inform the people, provide unbiased and honest facts, and protect us from those who would do us harm.  Sadly, journalism is no longer unbiased, objective, or driven by an unwritten code of ethics.  Today’s reporters and writers believe it is their duty to change the world rather than report the facts. To do this they omit facts, tone reporting, and unfortunately, because they are products of an educational system rife with socialist propaganda believe they are right in their biased efforts.

Over time, the pendulum may swing back.  There exist a few journalists who put truth before ideology.  Sadly, journalism schools and different media define truth from an ideological perspective not factual one.  They create their version of the truth.  Therefore, if you rely on the media to provide a clear picture pertaining to an issue or candidate, you are making a foolish mistake.
